How do I resize an image?
Add one or more images, choose pixels, percentage, a preset, or maximum width, then select Resize Images. Preview the result before downloading it.
How do I change an image's pixel dimensions?
Use Width and Height in Pixels mode. With aspect ratio locked, changing either value calculates the other automatically.
How do I resize without stretching it?
Keep Lock Aspect Ratio enabled. The original proportions are preserved. Presets fit an image proportionally inside their listed bounds rather than cropping it.
What is aspect ratio?
Aspect ratio is the relationship between an image's width and height. Locking it prevents the picture from becoming unnaturally wide or tall.
Does resizing reduce image quality?
Making an image smaller discards pixels. Enlarging adds pixels through interpolation but cannot create new detail. High-quality browser smoothing is used where supported.
Does resizing reduce file size?
Often, but not always. This tool reports actual output size. If your main goal is fewer bytes without changing dimensions, use the Image Compressor.
Can I make an image larger?
Yes, within the safety limits. You must explicitly allow enlargement in Max Width mode. Enlarging increases dimensions but does not restore detail or perform AI upscaling.
Resize vs compress
Resize changes pixel dimensions. Compress attempts to reduce file size while usually keeping dimensions the same.
Can I resize multiple images at once?
Yes. Percentage and Max Width apply one consistent rule to the batch. Smaller images are not enlarged in Max Width mode unless you choose to allow it.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Selected images are decoded, resized, previewed, and packaged locally in your browser. They are not sent to a Web MultiTools image-processing server.
Is image metadata preserved?
Not necessarily. Browser re-encoding commonly removes EXIF, location, camera, and other metadata. The tool does not expose that metadata in the interface.
